Jozini Local Municipality honourable councillors sat for the workshop about their code of conduct when inside the Council Chamber or outside to the community.
The workshop was conducted on the 14th April 2023, at the Council Chamber, it was held as per the Local Government Municipal Structures Amendment Act, 2021.
Honourable Councillors were also taken through the process and importance of Declaration of interests which could be businesses or other positions besides being the councillors. Jozini Local Municipality has 45 Councillors with 23 of them are ward councillors and 22 are PR Councillors. The workshop was facilitated by Mr M Mpisi who works for KZN-Cogta as a Deputy Director: Municipal Governance.
Honourable Councillors had an opportunity to ask questions and clarifications which were all answered by Mr Mpisi.
